Mentel will be Legia’s player
Saturday game against Korona was observed from the stands by Filip Mentel. Slovakian goalkeeper, who spent last four years at Manchester City’s football school, will soon become Warsaw team’s member. 19-year-old footballer came to the capital of Poland to talk about the conditions of his contract. “We take him, however I don’t know since when” – stated Legia’s goalkeepers’ coach, Krzysztof Dowhan.
Mentel came to Legia due to Jan Mucha’s recommendation. He was in Poland in September. He was training then with the team for a couple of days, but eventually he returned to Slovakia. Dowhan expressed a positive opinion regarding the player. Nevertheless, Warsaw club will be able to put him up not until the spring round. Legia won’t have to pay for the Slovak, because he’s a free player.
